Exciting news!

Hello there, from very cold and sunny Ontario! We have had such a snowy winter so far! It’s been good hibernating time, and excellent for writing.

It’s hard to believe, but 2026 marks 15 years since I wrote and self-published with Sheri’s help, my first book Healing Soul Misery: Finding the Pathway Home. This book did a lot of good in the world. In 2011, many people let me know they were feeling helpless and hopeless about their lives until they read my book, but by the time they finished reading it, they felt hopeful and could see a path forward for their lives again.

Sheri and I talked about how it would be good to bring this book to the world’s attention again, especially given the state of our world in 2026. There seems to be a lot more confusion, chaos, and despair now than in 2011. More than ever we need to be solidly grounded in who we are, with a solid idea of why we are here. When we know those things, despite all the chaos around us, we can slowly, but surely, make a difference in our little sphere of influence. For me, that’s the best antidote there is to feelings of hopelessness and despair. If each of us can make a positive difference, then the sum total of our efforts will be good, practical, and helpful for our hurting world.

To go accompany the print version of the 15th anniversary edition, I have made a series of audio recordings that discuss many of the main themes in Healing Soul Misery. They are presented as a playlist of bite sized chunks of information, accompanied by beautiful visual imagery on YouTube @clarityforfreedom.

I am told that to increase the likelihood of someone who needs them to find these videos, it helps to ask friends and family to click on the ‘like’ button, and to subscribe to the channel. If it appeals to you to do either of these things, then I say Thank you for helping me to do my part to stamp out the pain and despair of Soul Misery in our stressed out, uncertain world.

May your New Year be surprisingly full of hope and many good things. May it be so! Happy New Year!
